I think that this thread needs a bit more clarity from the OP, the way I have interpreted things are:- owner sitting inside car pressed the LOCK button on the key-fob only to test that the movement sensor would initiate the alarm if he/she waved their hands about > the alarm did get triggered by that action, so the owner pressed the UNLOCK button on the key-fob and then found that they could not open the doors from the inside of the car, but if they opened a window, they could open the door by grabbing the outside door handle. Hope this is of some help, once you have tried some of the things I suggest come back and let us know how you get on You might check your handbook and see which fuse the passenger door lock is on and what else is on that same fuse to see if they are still working. It could be that the mechanism has jammed and you have blown the fuse, might still be able to correct it with the key movement but obviously will then need to change the fuse. Have you tried locking or unlocking the passenger door with the key then trying the fob and checking the doors to see if all unlocked or all locked and in sync? Have you locked with the key fob and checked that all doors are in fact locked? Turning to the electrics, I am unsure why it is not locking. Has the inside handle still got the same amount of resistance when operating or is it looser or unable to be pulled? All indicate mechanical failure of that part if so. The inside handle is separate from the outside handle mechanism on the lock so that could account for being able to open from outside but not inside. Seems to me that it is a mechanical failure between the inside handle and the actual lock. ![]()
